I like second called The city of Mankato, Minnesota
it gives you more oppertunities to get more accurate information and it gives you a better tempurature reading. I love the pics on that one so much more and it is much more presentable.The other one is just plain and boring and needs some work i think.
I liked the 2nd one it had more pictures and they had it organized all nice and you could find what ever you needed. and it was much more impressive and made me want to learn more. and the other one was boring and it wasn't that impressive.
i think that the Mankato,MN home page is better for research. Also The City of Mankato,Minnesota is a good source to see a couple things. both of the sites have different information on Mankato so i don't know which is right but maybe they should get together and get a bigger data collection to see what really is happening in Mankato.
The riverfront pictures of both places where way different, one actually looked like a beach! one said it never got below 70 degrees F. the other said it was 27 degrees F. I also think that if the city was worthwhile to visit they would make it look better. i would trust the .gov site, the .us was hijacked! if they really cared about their city they wouldn't let anyone hack it.
The City of Mankato homepage says that it is 25 degrees F., and the Mankato homepage says it is 27 degrees C. the homepage for the City of Mankato has more information on it and many places to click to get even more information. the other Mankato only has a few links and even says it has been hijacked. i would choose the City of Mankato for my research.
The city of Mankato website has bus routes and park maps, but the other website on Mankato shows more activities to do there other than just maps. I would choose the city-mankato website because its more of a tourist type. It is warm in Mankato and has the accurate temperature, the other website as a colder temperature.
The .gov one says it is 25 degrees, but the other one says it is 80.
The .gov has more activities.
The .us shows more of a tropical thing.
I would trust the .gov one more because it seems to have more up to date information.
i think that the websites are both good sources and can be used for studies. i like the Mankato,MN Home Page better because it has more information.
The first is pretty good but i think the second one would be better. Because i think the second one would be better cause its easier to use.
The fisrt website was more for the history about Bankato, but the second had more travelinfo and tourist attractioins.
The City of Mankato one I think would be the best one to get information from. It get right into the information that is going on. And it looks interesting and fun to look through.
The Mankato, MN Home Page doesn't look very fun to look at its kinda blahh. Not very interesting. And it looks like you could get the wrong information from. Its hijacked from someone so yes you will get the wrong information.
Mankato.gove was more real because the other site said that it was hijacked by someone and there information was false. Also there website had no indication of the place such as pictures. The second one did. They both had different information on the place but the first site was incorrect and didn't support it's facts.

The Mankato.gov was more real because the graphics were better and it had real pictures of the place. The second site had information that looked like i could have typed it it was redickulus. And the second web site had been hijacked.
mankato.gov was better because the other one had been high jacked by some people so they may be putting on false info to confuse you.

I think that the City of Mankato website is more valid of a resource it has more information and more oppertunities than the other site and it has a bigger data collection
The city of Mankato, Minnesota is a good one because it had a lot more information on the area. The only thing is when I compared the two sites, I didn't know which one had the right temperature and time.
The first web site was hijacked, so I wouldn't trust what it says. It looks like high school kids put it together in 15 minutes. It wasn't very organized and didn't look very official. The second one actually made Mankato look good and was very organized. It was better by far.
The one website has a saying at the top that says that the website has been hijacked so its abuviously the fake one. The good website has a much more polished look and does not say its been hijacked.

In the .us/ it said the weather was really hot right now when spring is barely upon us. The .gov/ gives a better temperature of 39 for this time of year. It also talks about the snow warnings when the other one says that basically, you will get a sun burn.
I would trust the site Mankato because, they have more things to look at and you can search different things so you can maybe go visit and explore more thing. I don't like the Mankato Home Page because, there is hardly anything to research there.

I think that the .gov site was more accurate and reliable. It had that the temperature as 34 degrees while the other had 84 degrees. It had that it was cloudy, but not rainy like the other site. This site looks more real and valid than the other site.

The City Of Mankato cite says that it is 37 degrees and there is an overcast. They present the information so much nicer, with pictures! It tells the reader information of how they prepare for floods and such. I like that site more.

I think that the first website would not be a very reliable source to gather information on Mankato, because it says right there at the top, This site has been hijacked. Kinda makes me a little nervous, so i probably won't want to be using this site. The other site, looks a lot more official. With the way it's set up and the layout, ect., it just looks a lot nicer and a lot more professional.
The second one named City of Mankato, Minnesota. It was very pleasing to the eye. It was also not hijacked by who ever. The second one is also was well put together with date, laws, and other thing the public would like to know.

I like the second site The City of Mankato, Minnesota. It gives you a lot of information about the city's travel sites but also the history of the city. The structure of the site makes it seem a better place to trust. Where as the first site is plain and not as well set up giving it the appearance of being put together quickly. Which can cause some problems with information being correct. If the first site would like to be more trusted I would work on making it easier to navigate and view.

The fist site said the temperature never reached under 70 degrees, while the other one said it is at 36 degrees right now. The temperature on the second site was for today, and the other one just gave a range. The first site also gave some other sites to click on, that might not be very reliable. I would trust the second site more.
The "City of Mankato, Minnesota" page is much more accurate in its information. Mainly because it was updated today, as apposed to The first site that was updated the first monday of March. Also the first site was hijacked. That makes me think that it isn't reliable

The Temperatures are different. One of them seems very updated while the other one doesn't. One of them has an address and phone number at the bottom of it, so it seems like a more reliable source.
The City of Mankato homepage seams to be recently updated to the hour. While on the other hand the Mankato homepage says it is only updated once a month. I found The City of Mankato homepage had lots of easier and more reliable information on it. I would chose The City of Mankato homepage over the Mankato homepage any day.

I Believe that the Mankato website, the second listed on the Think Tank Blog, is the most valid. It is the most valid, because it is a government website. I do not believe the second website is valid because on the top of the page it states the fact that the webpage has been hi-jacked.

i think that the Gov. site is more accurate comparing to the first one. On the top of the page on the first site it says it has been hijacked. The first one also does not look very accurate and shows pictures of the beach which does not seem very accurate. The Gov.. site also tells you important information and is backed up.

On the first website it said that the temperature right now is 80 degrees. On the second website it says that it is 37 degrees which is more realistic.
I know that the second website is better because that website has realistic information about the temperature in the are. The first website claims that it never gets below 70 degrees even in the winter but the second website has a much more realistic temperature of about 37 degrees. Minnesota has cold winters and for one part of Minnesota to be in the 70 and above all year around seems very unrealistic.

The .gov site is the one that I would trust to get information from. When a url has .gov on the end it it means that it is a government published site. The other just looks like they are trying to get you to go there.

I believe that the second site is more reliable. The reasons for my belief are that there are several areas in the world where boiling springs can be found, Yellow Stone National Park for one, and the boiling water does not affect the temp in the air. This shows that the first site must be in question, as hot water cannot affect the air temp.

.gov site definitely more reliable. who would trust a sight with recycled electrons as one of its headings, or state that the site has been hijacked? If you do, I think you should rethink that idea. .gov means government posted, and the copywright date as well as its other information is organized. That is the trustworthy site, the other is just a joke.
So, I am doing research for school,these two sites were some that we have to evaluate and pick which one is "real". Well, it's pretty obvious, BUT this site definetly helped! Along with others! Thanks you guys!!
