Learn the basics of MLA formatting :
- Go to media.dcsd.org and select Union Senior High School.
- Click the tab that says Research Resources.
- Click the click that says Citation Helps.
- Select MLA Sample Paper.
- Click on the comment link and write 3 characteristics of MLA format.
- Open a new browser tab.
- Through Pioneer Library (pioneer.uen.org) select Noodle Tools. This will not work if you are not at school or logged in to Pioneer at home.
- Create a Noodle Personal ID. Write down your log in ID and password.
- Once in Noodle Tools, create a new project.
- Choose Citation Style: MLA
- Citation Level: Advanced
- Name it by your last name, followed by your first name, followed by "citation practice". For example "Jones, Steve Citation Practice"
- At the top of Noodle Tools click on Bibliography
- In a separate browser tab, return to media.dcsd.org and the Citation Helps page. Select Freshmen Citation Practice Assignment
- For each source listed make a citation in Noodle Tools
- Share your completed citations with Mr. Goodrich.

A MLA paper has your name, teacher, class, and date at the top. It is double spaced. In the top right has your last name and the page numbers.
