Google Drive Certification - Step 1

1.     In a separate window or tab, Go to accounts.google.com           
2.     If you have a Google account, log in. and skip to step 4.
If you don’t have a Google account, click on the red
5.    

Google Certification Step 2

 Scroll down to see Google Certification Day 1.   Do each step correctly to ensure that you get credit for the assignment.
  1.  Log into your Google Account.  
  2. Click on the following link Google Drive Training Certificate
  3. Go to the "File" menu in Google Drive (not Firefox or other browser) and choose "Make a copy..."
  4. Rename the document from "Copy of Google Drive Certificate of Completion"  to "Last name, First name Google Drive Certificate of Completion"  For example if I were doing the assignment it would change to "Goodrich, Bill Google Drive Certificate of Completion".  Do this step correctly to ensure that you get credit for the assignment.
  5. In the document highlight "Student Name"  and change it to your name.
  6. From the "Insert" menu select "Text box"
  7. Click and drag a box over the area that says date.
  8. Using Georgia 18 point font write today's date in formal format (i.e. October 7, 2013).
  9. In the top right-hand corner select "Share"
  10. Where it says add people enter "bgoodrich@dcsd.org" followed by a comma and your English teacher's email address (either dkillian@dcsd.org, chancock@dcsd.org, or cembleton@dcsd.org)
  11. Uncheck the box that says ""
  12. Click on the box that says "Share and Save"
  13. If you have followed the steps correctly you will be given credit for the assignment.
  14. Be sure to log out of your Google account.

Biology Classes - Genetic Research

I am so excited for this research.  To help you follow these steps.

  1. Go to Easybib.com and log in.  If you don't have an account please create one.
  2. Go to "All Projects" and choose "Create New Project" and give your project a name.  Use MLA7 as the style.
  3. Under the notebook took define your topic and thesis statement.
  4. Using your biology book find a quote or idea that supports your thesis
  5. Make a note in Easybib to identify this idea.
  6. Using Easybib create a citation for your Biology book.  
  7. Find other sources, and repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have at least 5 sources.

Citation Practice

Log on to Google Docs.  Go to the following link Citation Practice  . Go to file and make a copy.  Rename the file by replacing the words "Copy of"  with your last name followed by your first name.  When you are finished renaming your document it should read something  like "Smith Joe Citation Practice 2012".
