Step 1 - Choose and Read
- Know your Lexile range from when you took the NWEA test. Mr. Goodrich will hand these out to you. Your teacher should also have access to this information.
- Choose a book to read in your Lexile range. Preferably on the high end of your range. The Lexile for books is sometimes listed in the UHS electronic catalog or you can check on http://lexile.com by doing a book search.
- Read the book
Step 2 - Write and Submit DUE DECEMBER 16th.
You must have a Destiny account before completing this step. To get a destiny account choose the

- Click the
- Once in Destiny Quest search for your Lexile book.
- Click on the book’s icon.
- Choose the “Review” tab and select “Add Review”
- Write a one paragraph review (5 sentences) in the box. The review should include:
- What you liked most about the book.
- What you thought could have been better.
- Why or why not you would read this type of book again.
- You only get one shot at this. Once submitted if the review has errors, you can not correct them.
Step 3 - Summation DUE DECEMBER 16th

- From the home page select the
tab, Choose the
Cougar Think Tank link or go to http://cougarttank.blogspot.com
- Find the blog post titled “Lexile Book Stretch” dated “thursday, november 17, 2011”
- Carefully complete the form at the bottom of the post. The form will not be ready until Nov. 28th
- Congratulations you have completed the assignment.
