Google Drive Certification - Step 1

1.     In a separate window or tab, Go to accounts.google.com           

2.     If you have a Google account, log in. and skip to step 4.

3.     If you don’t have a Google account, click on the red signup  box in the right corner.  Read all of these instructions before continuing.

a.     Complete the required fields to get an account being careful to record your new Google email address and your password

b.     If you enter a mobile phone number, Google may sent you a text and require an activation code.  You will need your phone with you to do this.  Google also use your mobile number to help you reset a password if it is forgotten.

c.      In the current email box, please enter an email address that you already use.  Do not use someone else’s email or an email you no longer have access to.  Google uses this email address to reset your Google password if forgotten.

d.     Enter the verification code

e.     It is recommended that you uncheck the box allowing Google to create a profile in Google+.  However, you must check the “Agree to terms if you want to continue and create an account.

4.     Complete the form below and then return to complete to step 5.

5.     Remember when you are on a public computer to always log out of your personal accounts when you leave.  Log out of your Google account now.
